The Free Application for Federal Student Aid, or FAFSA, is your first step in applying for financial aid. This is your application for federal grants, federal student loans, and work-study funds. It is also used to determine eligibility for the WV Higher Educations Grant and required for other state aid programs, such as the Promise Scholarship and WV Invests Grant. Many institutions also use the FAFSA to determine eligibility for institutional financial aid.
The 2024-2025 FAFSA will not be released until December and there are important changes to the FAFSA. The Guidance Department at PHS will be offering events to assist seniors and parents with the financial aid process and completion of the FAFSA. The event on October 30th will provide financial aid information and FSA ID completion assistance. The events scheduled for December 11th and January 8th will assist with completion of the FAFSA. Please register using the link provided (there is a separate registration link for each event). If you have any questions, please contact Tracy Grago at 304-257-1444. We look forward to seeing you there!
