Project Equip and Communities In Schools teamed up to provide Easter food boxes to 40 local Grant County Schools families. Also, would like to thank the Pilgrim's Prepared Plant for the donation of boxes for this event.

Grant County Schools will operate on a 2 hour delay tomorrow Wednesday March 30, 2022.
Due to inclement weather the Regional Social Studies Fair has been postponed until next Saturday March 19th same time and same location.
This message is for guardians wishing to apply for a student transfer for next school year FY23. If you have applied and were approved for transfer in previous years, you will no longer need to re-apply. This only impacts students in Grant County Schools. Your current request will continue until you notify the school principal of the need to change or until we contact you directly. If you are transferring a student to another county you will need to adhere to that county's requirements. The application for new transfer requests is now available and can be found on the Grant County Schools website, Twitter and Facebook pages. Grant County Schools will be on a two hour delay due to potential freezing rain and sleet/snow.
Good Evening, This is Superintendent Webster and I am calling to give you an update on our mask policy. Before I do that however, I want to thank all parents for your patience and understanding while we have gone through this process. In particular, I want to thank our students for complying with the mandate in all of our schools. Your willingness to do so has allowed us to keep our schools open and all of our athletic teams able to compete. When the mask mandate was put into place last September I said it would be temporary. I certainly did not envision it lasting this long. Also, at that time I had not even heard of the words Delta and Omicron as it related to variants of the original Covid 19 virus. I believe, along with unanimous agreement form our Board of Education, that the time to end our mask mandate is drawing near. I am basing this on a continuous decline in Covid numbers in our schools and a national and statewide trend to remove the mask mandates. Therefore, the last day students and staff will be required to wear masks, in Grant County Schools, will be next Friday, February 25th. When students return to school on Monday February 28th masks will no longer be required. Any student or staff member wanting to wear a mask after the mandate is lifted is still welcome to do so. As a matter of fact, I would strongly recommend it in high traffic areas and group settings. Obviously, quarantine protocols will still in be in place and I want to keep this simple. There will be two quarantine scenarios. Scenario 1 would require any student or staff member that tested positive to quarantine until released by their physician to return to school. Scenario 2 would require that any student or staff member that developed symptoms after being a close contact to an individual that tested positive to quarantine for 5 days or until they receive a negative test result. This is one step to getting us back to some degree of normalcy. I thank you again for your cooperation during this entire process. With that being said, enjoy your weekend!

CDC and WVDHHR have now approved Pfizer vaccine booster for ALL children age 12 years of age and up, and can be administered 5 months after completing the initial 2 shot series.
To be considered fully vaccinated, students must have received the entire 2 shot series with wait period, and if it has been 5 months or longer since the last dose, a booster is required as well.
